Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

A very warm welcome to our Nursery!

I am Mrs Szymczak, your Class Teacher, and I am delighted to be working alongside Mrs Hopkins and Mrs Decruz this year.

We are so excited for the year ahead and look forward to creating a happy, caring and nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued and ready to learn, play and grow.

We have lots of exciting things planned and can’t wait to see the children develop, make new friends and create lots of wonderful memories together.

We are looking forward to working closely with you and your children throughout the year.

Discovering All About Me

What a wonderful first full week we have had in Nursery! The children have been enjoying our new topic, “All About Me,” and learning more about themselves and their friends.

We have talked about our similarities and differences, explored our facial features using mirrors, and shared what we like about ourselves. We enjoyed listening to the story What I Like About Me and singing songs and rhymes such as “Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.”

The children also created their own self-portraits using paint and a variety of craft materials, showing lots of creativity and imagination.

We have been learning to count through fun songs such as “Five Little Ducks” and enjoying our learning through singing, talking and play.

It has been a fantastic first full week, and we are so proud of how well the children are settling in! 💕

Our First Day in Nursery!

What a lovely first day we have had! The children enjoyed exploring their new surroundings, meeting their teachers and making new friends. They have settled in really well and are already becoming familiar with the nursery environment and daily routines.

It has been wonderful to see so many happy faces, confident interactions and exciting moments of play. We are very proud of how well everyone has started their Nursery journey!
