One of our greatest resources at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School and Nursery is our staff team.  Our priority is to ensure that all our staff have up to date, focussed training which meets their needs and the needs of the children.

Our training and development programme includes:

• Up to date Safeguarding practices and procedures
• First Aid and medical training as appropriate
• Senior Leader Mental Health Training
• Support for our Subject Leaders through external PD and moderation
• Support for teachers from subject leaders with weekly planning
• Team teaching from subject leaders and members of SLT 
• Religious Education and spiritual formation support for teachers delivered by our parish priest Fr Tony
• Bespoke Religious Education PD to support unit planning
• Collaboration between teachers to share good practice
• Weekly staff training and planning sessions
• Enrolment of senior leaders to the National Professional Qualification courses (NASENCO, NPQEL, NPQSL)
• Full ECT Mentorship Support
• Bespoke training for Learning Support Staff to meet the diverse needs of the children (ELKLAN, ELSA)
• External School to School Moderation
