As it was 'a career week', on Wednesday, children came to school dressed up as a person they would like to be when they grow up. They looked fantastic and enjoyed the day very much.

On Tuesday we welcomed Michael De Souza, the author of the classic book series Rastamouse and the creator of the well-known CBeebies character of the same name. Children and staff had practiced and recited many phrases, we had a fantastic time. The reaction from the children was amazing, they laughed so much!

Career week. We have started our career week with a visit by local Police and detectives. Children were very interested in finding out details about their jobs.

Our new outdoor equipment has arrived to the playground. It has caused a lot of excitement!

We enjoyed planting seeds to show the connection to the new life of the Resurrection.

We have started a new topic this term - Treasure. Children enjoyed exploring a new role play area 'Treasure island'.

Children listened to the story of the Resurrection and made models of the empty tomb from clay.

Nursery and Reception class went on a trip to Odds Farm. They were very excited to see all the animals and had so much fun exploring the playgrounds. Thank you to all the adults who supported us on the day!

Science week - Lego Workshop! Nursery and Reception created towers of different heights to show growth.

Nursery children have made some branches and acted out the story of 'Palm Sunday'.

Our topic this term is 'Let's pretend'. Children have had an opportunity to explore their new role play area and take on different roles in different contexts.

Children sang prepositions song 'Put your playdough' (above, below, in, under, next to, behind, in front) to the tune of 'If you happy and you know it' and changed position of the playdough in line with the song.

GOD IS HERE IN THE WAY WE LOVE EACH OTHER. In RE lesson we talked about love. Children decorated heart shaped biscuits and gave them to the people in class who show that God is here by the way they love us.

As an entry point to our topic Food, Nursery visited our local Tesco supermarket. Children had a chance to buy ingredients to make a healthy Superhero smoothie.

Welcome back after half term break. Children have been very busy learning maths through 'The very hungry caterpillar' story.

Children enjoyed dressing up for the Christmas Nativity!

Last Monday, nursery had a visit by local police officers, who explained ways of keeping safe.

We decided to go on a bear hunt after reading the story 'We're going on a bear hunt'. We went through the wavy grass, cold river, oozy mud, dark forest and swirling snowstorm. Finally, we found a bear in its cave. Some of us got very scared!

Children read the story of 'Goldilocks and the three bears'. They enjoyed making and tasting the porridge!

Nursery children had 'A Teddy Bear Day'. Throughout the day they were responsible for their own little guests.

This week we have been learning about Judaism. Children tried some traditional clothing and made a Menorah, which is one of the Jewish symbols.

This week we continued reading the story 'Handa's Surprise'. Children had a chance to taste the fruits from the story, they also made a delicious fruit salad.

We are getting ready for Black History Assembly!

Nursery children have been learning about the African culture. We read the story 'Handa's Surprise' and children took part in many activities linked to the story.

African Drumming Workshop. We have been celebrating Black History Month and children had the opportunity to play on the African drums, which they really enjoyed.

During RE lesson nursery children were looking at the Bible. They listened to the story of Noah's Ark and enjoyed retelling through play.

As IPC topic 'Family and friends' the children brought in photos of their families and discussed them with the rest of the peers. They also created beautiful family portraits for our display.

Nursery has settled well in their new classroom and made lots of new friends.
