RSHE Parent Consultation September 2026

RSHE has been a statutory requirement since September 2021. As a Catholic school we have to be aware that we teach the children RSHE in a way that follows our Catholic morals and ideologies. We follow the “Life to the Full” scheme of work designed by Ten Ten resources. “Life to the Full” is based on the structure of the Model Primary RSE Curriculum from the Catholic Education Service and this is used as a basis for all the lessons and resources. This is recognised as good practice by the DfE and it means that as a school we are fully compliant and we are delivering a programme that puts Catholic Education at the heart.

From September 2026, the new RSHE guidance published in July 2025 becomes statutory which means there will be changes to our RSHE curriculum.  To ensure that we meet our statutory requirements schools are required to re-consult on their RSHE policy.

Our consultation period will commence on Monday 29th June and will run until Friday 11th September 2026.  Please note a reminder will be sent out on 1st September.

On Monday 29th June, a letter will be sent to all parents outlining how to take part in the consultation; this letter will also provide the login credentials for the Online Parent Portal and 'Life to the Full' Ten Ten Resources.  The letter will also include a QR Code that will allow you to access the Parental Survey.  Please ensure that you complete the survey by Friday 11th September 2026.
