Parent's Evening Information

Parents evening will take place on Monday 22nd November. Please come 5 minutes before you allocated time slot. Parents are asked to wear masks and use hand sanitizer when entering the school as per our covid-19 policy.

Well done to all Year 6 children on a fantastic performance in our assembly on 'Charles Darwin and The Galapagos Islands'. Thanks to parents for coming to watch the performance and ensuring your children were well prepared.

Year 6 pupils took part in an African drumming workshop this week. It was a fantastic experience involving the history of African drumming along with some teaching on the different ways to play the djembe.

Dear parents,

Pupils will be getting their school photographs tomorrow. Please ensure children are wearing the correct uniform.

Regards,

Mr Murphy

Year 6 have recently been enjoying reading to Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils on Friday afternoons. The children have proved to be excellent role models to the younger children who love spending time with their older peers.

This half term in Literacy, we have been reading Wild Boy - a story about a boy who leads a miserable life as a spectacle in a travelling freak show. Covered in hair since birth, he's used to being treated as a monster or a savage, excluded from society and abused by his cruel master. The children have been enjoying reading daily in class and have also been to the new school library. Each child has taken a reading book to read at home from the library. Children can bring in their library books and swap them for a new one on Mondays.

Welcome back to 6T for their final primary school year at Our Lady of Lourdes. I am delighted to be supporting 6T as class teacher this academic year and continuing to support their personal, social and educational development. Please check into our class page weekly to keep up to date with our learning journey.
