Year 3 have had their first experience of using the Lego WeDo kit to make models and program them using the computer. They have enjoyed making lions roar, crocodiles eat and are preparing for an end of year Lego football match...watch this space!

Spring Term - 1st half
In the first half of the Spring Term, Year 3 have been learning about simulations and how they mimic real life events. They have used a variety of simulations, including a hot air balloon, parking a car, flying a bird and training a dog!
Autumn Term - 2nd half
In the second half of the autumn term, Year 3 have been learning about repetition (repeating a command) and have been using this to help make our programming more efficient!
Autumn Term - 1st half
In the first half of the Autumn Term, Year 3 were amazed to see a robot hoover in the class and now understand why they are learning about bee-bots and on-screen turtles!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
