Welcome Back Year 1!
We hope you had a wonderful Easter. Ms John, Ms Patl and myself will be working hard to prepare your children for Year Two.
This term we will have lots of exciting learning to look forward to. Watch this space!
Year 1 Curriculum for 2016-2017
Year 1 and 2 trip to the zoo! We had a great day!
In maths we are learning about measurement. We have learned lots about capacity and had lots of fun learning!
In Science we have been learning about plants. We made our own herbariums!
ROAD SAFETY WEEK: Year 5 wrote and illustrated picture books to teach us all the rules of the road ... ask us what we learnt!
In IPC we are learning about the topic 'Say Cheese!' We learned about the camera and we made our own cameras. We had so much fun!

BUDDY READING WITH YEAR 5
For Africa Day we had a drumming and dance workshop with year 2! We had so much fun learning about the beat and rhythm that goes with the song 'This is Africa':)
Last week we learned that we use energy when we exercise. We also learned that we should have something healthy to eat or drink after exercise at our "Root to Food" workshop. We had lots of fun learning in year 1 :)
