OLOL CHRISTMAS FAYRE 2018

Planning by PTA

OLOL PTA HAVE BEEN MEETING FOR THE PAST FOUR WEEKS  TO ORGANISE THIS YEAR’S CHRISTMAS FAYRE!

THEY WANT TO THANK ALL THOSE SUPPORTIVE PARENTS WHO ARE WORKING AND CAN NOT ATTEND THE MEETINGS BUT HAVE OFFERED THEIR SUPPORT IN SO MANY WAYS.

OLOL IS STRONGER WHEN WE PULL TOGETHER FOR THE COMMON

GOOD OF OUR COMMUNITY.

In Our PTA Meetings:

We have been discussing lots of exciting plans for the Christmas Fayre.

Please let us know if you can help out at this years Christmas Fayre. We need your help to make this the best OLOL event yet! Let one of the PTA members know if you can help or put your name down to help at the office.

Re: Minibus Fund  -  Parents have decided to donate the funding, previously collected for the mini-bus, to school trips and travel cost for our youngest children.  Nursery and Infant pupils are currently going on trips with the coach cost paid from our fund. Coach costs, as you know, are very expensive and teachers cannot normally take younger pupils to some places due to this. Junior students will continue to travel by Public Transport as part of our Travel Plan.

Thank you!

Next PTA Meeting scheduled for Thursday 6th December 2018 at 9am....we hope to see you there!

PTA 2017 Thank you to our wonderful PTA. Here they are organising this years' Christmas Fayre.........

Our Global Summer Fayre 2017

The summer fayre was a success. The PTA raised a total of £1111.41. They used some of the money to buy gifts for the stalls, pay for the bubble fun, buy a PTA BBQ for future events and to pay for the bouncy castle and the dance teacher. After all these costs were deducted, the PTA have made a profit of £489.00 .

Join us next year for some more summer fun!

The children really enjoyed making Indian food in the Parent Room ready to sell at the Global Summer Fayre!

The children had a marvellous time at the school disco. Lots of dancing took place and the children enjoyed the new addition of the game musical statues this year!

OLOL's Parliament meet the PTA......

Welcome. We are the OLOL PTA.

The main functions of our Parent Group is to:

  • Support the school in its work with pupils and parents
  • Represent the views of parents.
  • Promote contact and communication between the school,

parents, pupils, the community, nursery and other
     providers.

  • In partnership with the school's leadership team, organise fundraisers to raise money for whatever the school needs, e.g. A school minibus.

Please do come into school to use the parents room. It was re-furnished to give you a base inside the school to meet in cultural groups or otherwise - whatever you decide.

The school will welcome and consider any ideas you may have. We would also be happy to support any ideas on additional educational opportunities you may wish us to provide for you. Our computers can be used by you. The ICT suite is next to the parent's room. Please talk to your parent council and offer suggestions. You still need one representative from our Caribbean and one from our Irish community as well as another from our African community - to ensure our parent council will better represent our school community.
