Hope you all had a very fun and relaxing summer holiday and have returned ready to work hard and achieve your goals!

 

My name is Mrs Barrett and I am the Year Three Teacher, working alongside me is Mrs O'Neil. As a team we are dedicated to your child's academic success!

Sports Day

Measuring the length of our shadows throughout the day.

Harlesden Library visit - A creative writing workshop with poet, performer and storyteller Jared Louche

Exploring numbers using less than and greater than symbols.

Which shadow will be the biggest? The children investigated how the distance of light from an object affected the size of a shadow.

Welcome back to school!

We hope you had a relaxed and blessed Easter Break.

This is our third and final term therefore we plan to continue working hard and striving for excellence in every area of our curriculum ... stay tuned to this space for continuous updates on all of our school and classroom happenings!

BANK HOLIDAY:

Monday 4th May, 2015

School will be closed on this day, regular classes will commence on Tuesday 5th May 2015.  

 

SATS WEEK:

Monday 11th May - Friday 15th May 2015

We will be wishing our Year 6's the best of luck as they strive to be the best that they can be will writing their SATS Exams.  

 

CLASS PHOTO DAY:

Wednesday 20th May, 2015 

Please make sure your child attends school in their proper uniform looking neat, tidy and ready to smile for the photo. frown

 

HALF TERM:

Monday 25th May - Friday 29th May 2015

Students will return to class on Monday 1st June 2015.

 

ASSESSMENT WEEK:

Monday 15th June - Friday 19th June 2015

Your child's attendance is always an important part of their education, but this week is increasingly important in order for them to be assessed.  

Please ensure that your child is in class on time all week, thank you.

During our new science topic, Forces and Magnets, we have learnt that magnets can attract and repel. We've also been predicting and investigating which materials are magnetic and non-magnetic. smiley

Estimation Station - during maths, we've been having fun estimating and measuring our heights and weights of food.

WORLD BOOK DAY!! Thank you to all the parents and carers who assisted with their children's fabulous costumes!

 

THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all the parents, carers, friends and family that were able to attend our class assembly. Your continued support is always appreciated.  For those of you who were unable to make it, I have it on video, however I am having some technical difficulties but hope to be posting it for you to see in the near future. My apologies.

What do you know about the Stone Age? What would you like to know? There are many interesting facts for us to find out. In Art, we will create our own cave paintings using paint that we will make from natural materials and as part of our Science we will be investigating about animals, including humans.

Monday 16th February - Friday 20th February.

NOTE:  Monday 23rd February is an INSET Day for teachers.

Students will return to class on TUESDAY 24th FEBRUARY 2015.

We have been enjoying learning in our IPC topic about 'Paintings, Pictures and Photographs'.

We made a pose for our display called

' Reaching for the Stars in Year Three' where we wrote about our learning goals for the year. Come and look at it outside Year Three Classroom on Parents Evening...we are proud of our work.
